CIIP’s David Leal-Ayala recently took part in a panel session centred on tech-enabled sustainability, organised by Siemens Amberg in collaboration with the World Economic Forum (WEF).
The event took place on August 29th and 30th in Amberg, Germany, and brought together participants from WEF’s Advanced Manufacturing and Supply Chains, Industry Net Zero Accelerator and Global Lighthouse Network initiatives.
Participants had focused discussions on integrating sustainability and technology practices at scale, covering production networks and broader contexts.
David provided valuable insights on the difficulties businesses face when trying to lower their Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions. The event also discussed other topics, such as how lighthouse initiatives use technology to create a significant impact. The conversations also delved into how programmes linked to the Fourth Industrial Revolution can be utilised to enhance sustainability.
