Policy Links presented the report ‘Innovate Indonesia: Unlocking growth through technological transformation’ to Indonesia’s Ministry of Research and Technology/National Agency for Research and Innovation, at a session exploring the important role of research, innovation and technology in the development of Indonesia.
Carlos López-Gómez and Michele Palladino shared the findings of the report, focusing on the pillars for policy action identified in consultation with local Indonesian stakeholders. Minister Bambang Brodjonegoro emphasised the need for Indonesia to move to an innovation-based economy to respond to the COVID-19 crisis and achieve its Vision 2045.
The report was funded by the Asian Development Bank’s Indonesia Resident Mission and saw the collaboration of a group of experts across the University of Cambridge led by the Policy Links Unit and Indonesia’s Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS).
