Cambridge Industrial Innovation Policy recently completed a project commissioned by Innovate UK, in collaboration with the Welsh Government, to support manufacturing innovation in Wales.
A scoping study mapped the current supply of manufacturing innovation support services, detailing key public and private organisations involved, examples of the range of services they offer, and key sectors covered. The study draws on consultations and workshops with stakeholders from industry, government and academia, as well as existing data.
The project identified opportunity areas to strengthen the Welsh manufacturing innovation support ecosystem, highlighting specific initiatives, potential collaboration and strategic investments that could drive future growth and competitiveness.
